How Your Alert Sim Card Can Be Used to Wire your Money from Bank

Did you know hackers now have  another new way to wire all your money from your bank account or use your account to secure a loan?

Have you ever witnessed a situation where money is deducted from an account without the account holder's consent and without the use of a debit card?

It is quite rampant in the society!

It is called sim transaction and is mostly carried out by local hackers. This is quite possible provided you do receive bank alert on your that your sim you registered with the bank.

We have witnessed some instances where bank's customers complained about their money being wired or deducted from their bank account without knowing exactly how it happened.

Sometimes we ourselves can be inviting those hackers to come and hack our account without us knowing.

When you think you can not memorise your account details off hand and even your ATM card details but you save such sensitive details on your phone, then you're stylishly drawing the attention of those bad people to do you bad.

How can they now use my sim card to wire my money from my bank account?

I bet that's the question you have in mind for me.. let's now get down to business.

The first thing they look for is to find out whether you have saved your account number on your phone.

If you have already done that my dear, you're exposed to a great risk. It's hightime you deleted it and try to cram your account details.

If you did not save your account number on your registered phone, they now have a code they will dial to get your account details but you can prevent that from occurring by not allowing any unauthorised person to have access to your phone.

When they dial that code, it'll display the name as well as the account number of the bank that you're using and they have different codes for different banks.

For instance, when they dial that aforementioned code and it shows first bank, they will now dial another code which will show them your bank details.

The second thing they look for is to determine whether you do receive alert from your bank on that particular registered phone number of yours and that also makes their evil work easier.

With all these, they will get your bank details and reset your PIN by creating another PIN for themselves thereby using it to transfer funds from your account to another account called "a no trace account".

What is a no trace account?

This is a bank account opened by someone in which the BVN used to open such account is not his.

They open such account with someone else's Bank Verification Number whereas the owner of the BVN is unaware of this account.

They can know your BVN by dialing *565*0₦ on your registered number.

So, if at the end of their evil deed the owner of the account from which money is being deducted or secured loan realises something is not right and notifies their banker, the perpetrator won't be traceable rather the owner of the BVN that is used to open the ''no trace account'' in which the money is transferred will be the one being traced.

That is the essence of a no trace account.

But if after all their effort they discover that you don't have money in your bank account but the account is a salary account, it can still be useful to them by using such bank account to request loan.

When they request for loan and the bank grants such loan, all they need to do to claim the loan is by using your BVN to create another account number that they will transfer the money to.

How to safeguard your account from being hacked

-Do not save any sensitive content on your phone. Delete it if you already have.

-Do not let anyone you don't trust to have access to your phone.

-If you receive any message or call from anyone claiming your account is blocked that you should send your account details, verify from your banker first cos bank will never ask for your details over the phone..

Do all those things and thank me later.
